When we see the statue or picture of lord Ganesh, we come to know that except for the elephant head, the whole body is of a human being.

Head- it is said that elephant is wise and have good memory power. A person with the complete knowledge and almighty, soul and nature and a strong faith in god. Such person is shown in the form of a person with an elephant head. Elephant is also symbol of courage, confidence, success and responsibility of duties, attention and focus in all works.

Trunk- the trunk of elephant is useful to do all the tasks with ease, because it is strong. Ears- large ears of elephant symbolize the attentiveness and understanding.

Eyes- symbolize seeing greatness, virtues, goodness in others.

When a person develops all the above qualities in self, then he becomes broad minded, peaceful powerful, blissful and problem solving capacity is developed. Thus Ganesh’s one hand is shown in a blessing position.

In today’s world, life has become stressful, hence it has become necessary for all of us to become like lord Ganesh to live a blissful life.
